Capiz shell lotus lights
Capiz shells candle holders are made from the shells of the windowpane oyster (placuna placenta). Philippine Capiz shells are so named because they were originally harvested from the shallow coastal waters near the town of Capiz, on the island of Panay. When dried and cleaned, the shells are naturally translucent. When painted, they allow for a glorious interplay between light and colour.
