Goddess symbol

The Goddess symbol shows a stylised female figure with arms raised, in a posture of blessing and invocation. It stands for the divine feminine: the creative and nurturing power, fertility, and the source from which life springs. Above all it is a sign of feminine power, honoured and revered in its own right.

As a fixed glyph the Goddess symbol is relatively young, arising in the twentieth century within Wicca, the Dianic current and feminist spirituality.
