Detailed Ganesh resin statuette, seated on a lotus throne. In his upper left arm, this Ganesh holds a goad (ankusha), used to remove obstacles and guide the direction of the devotee. In his upper right arm he holds a noose (pasha), that symbolises the power to control one's desires. The lower right hand is in the abhaya mudra, a gesture of protection and blessing, indicating reassurance and the removal of fear, while in the left hand he holds a modaka - a traditional sweet dessert - which symbolises the rewards of a disciplined and devoted life.
On the pedestal, Ganesh is accompanied by a mouse - the vehicle (vahana) of lord Ganesh. This humble appearance signifies his willingness to come to the aid of even the smallest and most seemingly insignificant beings, and shows his mastery over ego and mind.
