Description

Silky smooth Kathag with Tibetan motives and text weaved into the Kathag.

In Tibetan Buddhism, the Kathag is used as a greeting scarf. You respect your guest by offering a Kathag (like any other gift by Westerners). The kathag is also used as a cover for a Buddha statue or thangkas (paintings), or to decorate the altar.

This kathag set is delivered as one piece of cloth, which you should then cut and sell separately.
You can cut 4 kathags out of it, the price mentioned is for 1 kathag.

Mani Bhadra B.V. - Phoenix Import wholesale business has assembled a selection of typical Tibetan textile products.

For Tibetans, most of these products have a spiritual or symbolic meaning, and serve as a decoration on the altar, in the "Gompa" (meditation room) or at home.
