Le Chatelard 1802 Lavender products
All aspects of production, from the harvesting of the flowers to the making of lavender flower sachets, used from time immemorial to keep wardrobes free of clothes moths, are centred in Saint Auban sur Ouvèze. Le Chatelard 1802 guarantees 100% French craftsmanship in their workshops and applies the highest standards in quality at each stage of the production process.

Lavender (lavandula officinalis or lavandula angustifolia or vera)
Lavender can grow at altitudes of up to 1700m. You can find it as a wild plant as well as in cultivated fields. In fact, among all essential oils, lavender is the one that offers the most wide-ranged applications.

Lavandin (lavandula intermedia)
Lavandin is a hybrid between lavandula vera and aspic lavender. Its larger flowers are exceedingly more productive and its essential oil is mainly used for industrial purposes (washing powder industry, etc…). For traditional purposes (sachets, etc…), lavandin flowers are mostly used instead of lavender, for their penetrating camphor scent.
