Bone China porcelain
The kaolin, feldspar, and quartz normally used for porcelain clay are mixed with a minimum of 35% bone ash. Thanks to this composition, bone china can be fired at around 1250°C. This produces the strongest type of porcelain available and gives it its characteristic ivory colour.
