Bone China porcelain
The kaolin, feldspar, and quartz normally used for porcelain clay are mixed with a minimum of 35% bone ash. This produces the strongest type of porcelain available and gives it its characteristic ivory colour. Thanks to its composition, bone china can be fired at around 1250°C.
