Flower of Life
The Flower of Life is made up of evenly overlapping circles that together form a perfectly symmetrical pattern. From that single premise, a circle repeating itself endlessly, unfolds one of the oldest figures in sacred geometry. It appears in the temple of Abydos in Egypt, in Chinese temples and in the sketches of Leonardo da Vinci.
According to tradition, the pattern holds the blueprint of creation within it: every form and every living being is said to arise from it. Look closely and you can make out the Platonic solids and Metatron's Cube hidden in its lines. Through the centuries the flower thus became an emblem of the interconnection of all that lives, the silent geometry behind the visible world.
