Description

Cord with 10 Tibetan prayer flags with Lungta, the Windhorse, representing good luck, fortune and well-being.

Lungta
Lung-ta is the Windhorse depicted in the center of these prayer flags (lung means 'wind' in Tibetan language). On his back is the symbol of the Wishfulfilling Jewel. The Windhorse symbolises good luck, fortune and well-being for nature, animals, humans and society as a whole.
Around the Windhorse are 4 mythical animals in the Buddhist pantheon: top-left is a Garuda, top-right a Naga, bottom-left a Snowlion, bottom-right a Tiger.
The English text on the left and right side expresses the meaning of the mantras printed in the center column.

Tibetan prayer flags
Prayer flags are tradtionally hung in all countries with a Buddhist culture in the Hymalaya region, such as Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan. The positive energy of the images and mantras are spread through the air as the flags flap in the wind, spreading goodness to all corners of the world, and beyond.

The colours of the flags (blue, white, red, green, yellow) represent the 5 Elements and the 5 Dhyani Buddhas, symbolising (among other things) the inner and outer Female and Male energies in their purest form.
