White Sage smudge torches consist of more loosely bound, dried leaves of Salvia apiana. The use of aromatic plant smoke originates in Indigenous cultures of North America, where white sage was used in ritual and ceremonial contexts. In contemporary use, white sage serves as botanical incense for ritual work, meditation, bodywork, or for marking a transition or conclusion.
