Silver-plated, ornate singing bowl, with engraved images of Buddha Shakyamuni and the five Dhyani Buddhas. The bowl is further decorated with auspicious symbols such as the double dorje, lotus and unending knot, as well as the mantra of compassion 'Om Mani Pad Me Hum'. The silver plating is applied through a careful electrochemical process, enveloping each bowl in a shiny layer of pure silver that enriches its tone and vibration.
Please note: silver-plated singing bowls are sold by the piece, weight may vary.
Art and craftsmanship Each hand-hammered singing bowl is first carefully selected for its rich sound, so that it not only looks beautiful, but also has the depth and resonance you would expect from a singing bowl of this quality. Only then is the bowl engraved and silver-plated.
The engraving with traditional symbols and decorations is done using precision laser technology, allowing them to be embellished with complex designs without compromising their exceptional acoustic properties.
The silver plating process is carried out through electroplating. This involves the use of controlled electrolysis, where the desired metal coating is transferred from an anode (the part containing the metal used as the plating) to a cathode (the part that will be plated - in this case, the singing bowl). This ensures a nice, even coverage.
Advantages of silver plating Silver, with its high density and excellent acoustic properties, enhances the natural purity of a singing bowl's sound, creating a clear and uplifting sound.
The bowl's reflective surface not only adds to its aesthetic appeal, but can also amplify the energy it radiates, making it a powerful tool for meditation and sound healing.
Maintenance and storage To preserve the beautiful finish and powerful sound of your silver-plated singing bowl, we recommend using only a soft, woolen stringing wood and a felt beater. For extra care, cotton gloves for intermediate handling of the bowl can be of use. Carefully wipe the bowl with a soft cotton cloth after each use to remove any fingerprints and maintain the shine. Store the bowl on a stable rubber ring or soft cushion to protect its shape and finish.
Each silver-plated singing bowl comes with a cotton bag to protect and store it, and three pairs of cotton gloves (sizes M, L and XL).
For cleaning, use a damp, non-abrasive cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid any harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners to preserve the silver coating. However, a silver cloth can help.
