Production of Kuro-orin singing bowls Bronze is melted and alloyed, then rolled into uniform sheets. Circular blanks are pressed in precision moulds to achieve consistent wall thickness and shape. After forming, each bowl is blackened using sulfide patination—a quick liver-of-sulfur dip that yields a deep, even satin-black finish. The result is a durable, low-maintenance singing bowl that delivers reliable performance session after session.
