Benzoin Siam (Styrax tonkinensis)
Benzoin is obtained from carving the tree bark, and by harvesting the dripping resin. Resin in Asia is considered to be one of the most important ingredients of incense. The sensuous, raptuous scent has an aphrodisiac, stimulating effect. Enhances fantasy and inspiration, meditation, euphoric feelings and provides a balming embrace. It is advised to mix this resin with Sandalwood, Eagleswood, Incense, Myrrh, Labdanum or TonKa beans.

How to use
Suitable for burning on a fireproof dish with charcoal, or on a special sieve incense burner. The burning process on a sieve burner is slower than on charcoal. You can easily mix the incense with other varieties.

Also available are matching tongs to safely light the charcoal, tongs to handle the incense strainer, a steel brush to clean the incense strainer and a wooden feather for scent dispersion. A loose sieve of 125 mm fits also on an oil evaporator, if you remove the cup.
