Handmade singing bowl made of bronze alloy, with a laser-engraved image of Ganesha on the inside, surrounded by the Ganesha mantra on the rim. The underside features an abstract sacred-geometry mandala, while the outer panels include Śrī Yantra (Hindu Śākta tradition), Flower of Life motifs, decorative border patterns and lotus ornamentation.
Ganesha – Remover of Obstacles
The interior engraving depicts Ganesha with four arms: holding a modaka (sweet), a pāśa (noose), an abhaya mudra (gesture of protection), and a stylised implement, seated on a lotus throne beside his mouse vehicle. Six circular medallions around him bear the syllable “ॐ” and repeat the mantra “ॐ श्री गणेशाय नमः” (Om Shri Ganeshaya Namaha), invoking blessings for new beginnings and obstacle removal. Traditional lotus motifs fill the spaces between symbols.
Ganesha’s presence is believed to clear hindrances and invite auspicious starts, making this bowl ideal for meditations or rituals focused on fresh undertakings, business ventures or creative projects. It also brings a resonant clarity to any sound-healing session.
Beaten Singing Bowls
Beaten or hand‐hammered singing bowls are made through a complete hand‐hammering process. Each bowl is shaped and formed using traditional techniques, where metal discs are heated, stacked, and hammered by skilled artisans until they take the desired shape. This process is repeated several times to achieve the final form. As a result, each singing bowl is unique, with slight variations in size and shape that reflect the authentic craftsmanship.
The alloy used consists of copper, tin, and a mixture of other metals, carefully combined to produce a rich, resonant tone. After shaping, each bowl is chiseled and polished, resulting in a durable and harmonious instrument suited for both ritual use and sound therapy.
