Handmade singing bowl made of bronze alloy, with an engraved central motif of a sun and crescent moon flanking upright and inverted triangles on the inside, surrounded by alternating celestial orbit diagrams and geometric yantra medallions, with endless-knot and cloud-scroll fillers between them. The underside mirrors the interior composition, and the side band features cloud scrolls, endless knots and a lotus-petal border.
Sun & Moon – Cosmic Duality
The interior engraving juxtaposes folk-astrological solar and lunar faces with dual alchemical triangles—upright for fire/masculine, inverted for water/feminine—set against concentric stars and dot patterns. Eight surrounding medallions alternate stylised orbit charts and Hindu tantric yantras, symbolising celestial cycles and sacred geometry, with endless knots and auspicious clouds filling the gaps.
Highly suitable for practices that call for balancing opposing forces—day/night, yin/yang, conscious/unconscious—or for astrology-focused rituals. Its clear, harmonious tone makes it equally suited to sound-healing sessions aimed at restoring inner equilibrium and cosmic alignment.
Beaten Singing Bowls
Beaten or hand-hammered singing bowls are made through a complete hand-hammering process. Each bowl is shaped and formed using traditional techniques, where metal discs are heated, stacked, and hammered by skilled artisans until they take the desired shape. This process is repeated several times to achieve the final form. As a result, each singing bowl is unique, with slight variations in size and shape that reflect the authentic craftsmanship.
The alloy used consists of copper, tin, and a mixture of other metals, carefully combined to produce a rich, resonant tone. After shaping, each bowl is chiseled and polished, resulting in a durable and harmonious instrument suited for both ritual use and sound therapy.
