Juniper berries from the Himalayas (Juniperus macropoda)
This plant grows in up to 4,000 metres altitude in the Himalayas, and because of this it gives off a very intense, characteristic fragrance. People who live in this area are using this incense for protection and the purifying of their living space. It will expel unpleasant smells, mosquitos and other insects. The incense is named "Food of the Gods" and has a special meaning in shamanic rituals, in which, for example, it is used while expelling evil spirits and creating a state of trance.

How to use
Suitable for burning on a fireproof dish with charcoal, or on a special sieve incense burner. The burning process on a sieve burner is slower than on charcoal. You can easily mix the incense with other varieties.

Also available are matching tongs to safely light the charcoal, tongs to handle the incense strainer, a steel brush to clean the incense strainer and a wooden feather for scent dispersion. A loose sieve of 125 mm fits also on an oil evaporator, if you remove the cup.
